Although I don’t know that much about the Acia Berry Supplement, I think it is important to note that berries in general are excellent sources of antioxidants! That means they are excellent for your health, but that doesn’t mean they will help you lose weight. If this supplement is claiming that it helps you to lose weight, then they probably add unsafe ingredients along with the berry. Instead of buying this, buy fresh or frozen berries and other produce from your local store/natural food store. I strongly suggest avoiding diet pills in general, since very few have any real scientific data behind them (even those that claim they do end up having a mere 1-2 trials whereas truly scientific things have 100s of trials over many years). Instead, it is best to focus on overall nutrition and exercise. Even if you ignore the losing weight part at first, improving your nutrition is going to make you feel much healthier!

I actually was looking up information about how important antioxidants and phytochemicals are for you. It is a lot more difficult to fit in all of these than it is to just count calories, but they are still very important for your health. Overall, I believe there are over 100 types of these little nutritional wonders. LOTS! On top of that, some types can only be found in one or just a couple specific food type! Actually, this can be said for olive oil, beets, and garlic! If you never eat beets, you are actually missing several different antioxidants!

Of course, a person doesn’t have to ingest every single antioxidant every day to stay healthy, but every time you make a step towards eating a wider variety of fruits, vegetables, and other nutrient filled foods, you are taking a step towards better health. So, even though it takes longer and isn’t as fast, lifestyle changes that change your overall eating and activity level are going to be the best for you, and can result in long-term, maintainable weight loss.
